Frequently Asked Questions

Contact me to schedule a free 20 minute consultation. During the video or phone call, I will answer all your questions, find out what you’re looking for, and see how I can help. We can learn more about each other and make sure that we are a good fit together because I want you to feel confident about choosing me as your therapist. If we are a good match, I will send you some important documents to complete before we schedule your first session.

In our first few sessions, I will focus on learning more about you and identifying what you want to accomplish in therapy. Afterwards, all sessions are custom-tailored to your goals and needs. Sessions are either 50 or 80 minutes and can be weekly or bi-weekly depending on your needs/preferences. My availability is subject to change, so please contact me for current openings.

Attending therapy with me is an investment into your well-being and future; that requires finances, time, and energy. There must be a willingness to do new and uncomfortable things. I will ask you to look within, link with your emotions, and challenge the way you think. If you connect with how I view therapy, see my Investment page and contact me for more information on pricing and sliding scale options.

I am currently in network with Lyra. If you have a different insurance, I can give you a superbill as an "out-of-network" provider. You can send the superbill to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Learn more about your out-of-network mental health benefits by getting in touch with your insurance company. Additionally, you are not required to use your health insurance if you prefer to pay out of pocket for services.

I understand that life can be unpredictable and schedules can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact me and give me at least 24 hours' notice. Missed appointments or late cancellations will incur the full cost of the session as I have reserved the time just for you. Missed appointments and late cancellations are typically not covered by insurance.

Healthcare providers must give uninsured or out-of-network clients a cost estimate for medical services, including therapy. You have the right to request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling together. Save a copy of your estimate, and if you receive a bill at least $400 over the estimate, you can dispute it. For more information on your right to a Good Faith Estimate, please visit here.

You will receive a text via IVY PAY at the end of our first session together, where you will fill-in your payment information. Ivy Pay works with debit cards, credit cards, HSA and FSA cards. Moving forward, you will receive a text confirmation any time your card on-file is charged after the session.
